The Wedding Feast of the Lamb

Movements I & II

A contemplation of human existence.

The Wedding Feast of the Lamb: Movements I & II opened at Sans MOCO Art Gallery on March 7th, 2020, featuring digital art, traditional paintings, and installation pieces. “Movement I,” spearheaded by Abram, is a collection of glitch art pieces that contemplate the nature and origins of despair as we experience it; by contrast, in “Movement II,” Madeline uses finger paintings to walk through the Book of Revelation, examining the colors of the Glory of God and the heavenly promises throughout it.

Together, these two movements culminate in an experience which is intended to move the viewer to contemplate their own existence in a fallen world, where despair, “the sickness unto death,” can only be cured by heavenly intervention of God’s revelation.

The show is a Christian response to the uncertainty of the human experience. With the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus in our nation, we felt that this representation of the truth of end-times hope could not be more timely. Unfortunately, with this outbreak came the state-mandated closure of all nonessential businesses, including the art gallery displaying the show. This prompted us to assemble a “virtual tour” of the exhibition, which can be viewed by clicking the button below.

The title of the show is partially inspired by the song “The Wedding Feast of the Lamb: First Movement” by All Things Bright and Beautiful from the album Love and Affection.
